Killian Kirkpatrick APFS, DipPFS, BSc Hons
Director and Independent Financial Adviser
Killian is a Chartered Financial Adviser and has worked hard over the years to develop a high level of technical knowledge, providing a clear and modern view on a wide range of financial and retirement planning areas. He is passionate about what he does and along with achieving Chartered status, he has achieved a First Class Honours degree from the University of Birmingham, won the Best Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Institute of Insurance for Leicestershire and Rutland (2017) and was listed in the Times and The Telegraph’s Guide to the UK’s Top Rated Financial Advisers. He is a member of the investment committee and is involved with setting and overseeing the investment philosophy for the company. When he is away from the office he enjoys cycling and has completed several charity bike rides.

Rob Abbott DipPFS, Cert SMP
Compliance Manager and Non-Executive Director
Rob has a wide range of experience within the financial services sector having been successful in a variety of positions over the last 30 years including Sales, Training and Development, Supervisory, Managerial and Directorship roles. The Knowledge gained from his time in the industry spurred him to found secure compliance in 2004, with the mindset of creating a more personalised approach to delivering compliance services. When not working, Rob Likes to spend his time enjoying the great outdoors either off-roading or walking with his wife and 4 Shih Tzu’s.

Frankie Hayes APFS, DipPFS, BSc Hons
Director
Frankie studied Economics at the University of Birmingham and has worked in a number of Financial Services companies since graduating allowing her to develop an overall picture of the financial advice process. She uses this experience to lead a team of administrators and paraplanners to ensure a smooth advice process from start to finish, with a focus on efficiency and team work. Frankie has recently achieved Chartered status and won the best Diploma in Financial Planning for the Chartered Institute of Insurance for Leicestershire and Rutland in 2018. In her spare time she likes to keep active and plays netball for a local team.

Gary Weilding DipPFS, Cert CII (MP&ER)
Independent Financial Adviser
Gary is an Independent Financial Adviser and has been working within Financial Services since 1978, starting his career in Banking. After undertaking various banking and lending roles, Gary became a Financial Adviser in 1991 and has since provided a quality service to both private and commercial clients. During this time, he has also gained experience in a private banking role as well as working for a large independent IFA practice. Gary holds his CII Diploma with pride and alongside this, a Mortgage and Equity Release Qualification. Gary is married with two adult daughters and in his leisure time, enjoys weight-training, cycling and is a keen Warrington Rugby League follower.

Richard Hayes DipPFS
Independent Financial Adviser
Richard is a Financial Adviser with vast experience in the industry and business generally, spanning over 4 decades. As well as holding a law degree, Richard has built up a very successful career across a number of industries before settling into financial planning and brings a wealth of experience to all of his clients. He specialises in holistic planning advice which he feels is fundamental to advising. Richard is married with 3 children and his hobbies include Table Tennis, Golf, Chess and Cricket.

Gary Puffett DipFA
Independent Financial Adviser
Gary has 22 years experience in the financial services industry as a financial adviser. He started his career with the Co-operative Insurance Society which provided him with a solid foundation and the experience to develop his skills and gain the necessary qualifications before moving into banking. During the years Gary has fulfilled a number of roles across the sector and has gained further qualifications. He prides himself on sound and clear financial advice that is easy to understand, which has enabled him to build strong and long lasting relationships with his clients. Away from work, Gary enjoys spending time with family and friends. He enjoys sport, in particular football and cycling.

Sue Maw CeMAP, CeRER
Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Sue is a qualified Mortgage & Protection and Equity Release Adviser and has been in the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years and is passionate about customer service. She prides herself in providing clear and understandable advice and building long lasting relationships with her clients. In her spare time, Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves theatre & concert trips. She also has 3 little Shih Tzu’s dogs and helps organise their walking group as well as supporting a rescue charity.

Tom Hayes Msc DipFA
Independent Financial Adviser
Having worked within various roles in the financial industry Tom has built up a wide range of knowledge and experience. He prides himself on helping clients reach their financial goals and objectives. Through careful consideration and listening, Tom aims to ensure all clients experience a positive relationship with himself and First Service Financial. In his spare time, Tom is a keen football coach and also enjoys playing cricket and golf.

Jenny Brown FPFS
Chartered Financial Planner
Jenny is a Chartered Financial Adviser and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. She joined the profession in 1990 and during this time, has been a Financial Adviser whilst also being involved in the training and supervision of other advisers. She specialises in holistic financial planning that includes giving advice to individuals and business owners about savings and investments, retirement planning and protection. She enjoys advising and working with existing clients, their families, friends, and work colleagues. In her spare time, she enjoys being a Great Aunt to 26 (at the last count), beach holidays in the sun and some light exercise.

Martin Reed DipPFS
Independent Financial Adviser
Martin has been working in financial services since 1996 and has been advising clients since 2005. Martin has extensive experience in helping clients to understand their financial position and has helped many clients to build a well defined structure for their future. For some clients, this might be a simple investment review, for others it might be a more comprehensive overhaul of their financial position. Martin believes that financial planning should be an enjoyable experience which results in clients having more confidence and clarity about their future. In his spare time, Martin is a busy father with three boys and he also helps to coach one of his son’s football teams. He enjoys the outdoors and likes to spend his spare time mountain biking or paddle boarding.

John is an Independent Chartered Financial Adviser with over 15 years of experience in Financial Services. John offers independent financial advice, ensuring clients are well informed and looked after. His main goal is to help clients understand the advice that is provided by taking away all of the jargon and presenting advice in a clear, easy to understand manner. John is passionate about advising on pensions, investments, protection, inheritance tax planning, later life planning and equity release. John was listed in the Times and The Telegraph’s Guide to the UK’s Top Rated Financial Advisers. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, watching Football and is a keen follower of Formula 1.

Joshua prides himself on his continual pursuit to gain further knowledge in Financial Services to provide the most holistic advice to his clients. This has been through his London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) membership, further study and previous employment in various technical areas in Financial Services. This includes roles such as paraplanning and compliance. Joshua holds a Diploma in Financial Advice (DipFA), which has developed an excitement to help his clients establish, strategise and achieve their financial desires and objectives with a personable and intelligible approach. In his spare time, Joshua enjoys collecting Vinyl Records and Whiskies, spending time with friends tasting various ales, and is a keen follower of the NFL.

Shaun Hasson DipPFS

Shaun has worked within the Financial Services Industry since 1989, choosing an Independent Financial Advisory route as his career choice in 1996. He enjoys supporting his clients through all stages of life and financial requirements and provides clients with optimal assistance on retirement planning, estate planning, investment advice, tax strategies, and overall support in managing their finances. Shaun holds a Level 4 Diploma (Dip4) qualification and a statement of professional standing and continues to progress his knowledge and qualifications within the industry. He provides a ‘hands on’ approach and has supported clients now for over 30 years, helping generations of his client’s families and their friends over this period. In his spare time, he enjoys making homemade wine and liqueurs and relaxing by walking and sketching.

Barnaby Meek DipPFS
Independent Financial Adviser
Barnaby proudly holds the level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) and continues to advance his journey to Chartered status through further study with the Chartered Institute of Insurance. Before his current advising position, Barnaby spent a significant period with First Service Financial supporting other advisers as a Paraplanner. He has also played a key role as the initial point of contact for many of our new clients over recent years. Barnaby is adept at listening and engaging individuals to uncover their key priorities in building a tailored financial plan. Conscientious in his approach, he has a real passion for seeking the best solutions and outcomes for all his clients.
Outside of work, Barnaby enjoys keeping fit and is kept busy, along with his wife, looking after his young son and daughter.

Dean Fletcher DipPFS, CeMap

Dean’s professional journey has been marked by a commitment to providing clients with expert financial guidance tailored to their unique needs. He began his financial career at a high street bank, using his keen analytical skills to successfully guide numerous individuals and businesses towards financial success.

On graduating from business and law school, Spencer held various roles in banking and corporate finance before finding his passion in financial advice. As a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Spencer offers financial advice in an array of areas, including pensions, investments, insurance and mortgages, as well as more complex areas such as equity release, trusts, and estate planning. Based in the South West, Spencer enjoys collaborating with clients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring his approach to meet their unique circumstances. Outside of work, Spencer enjoys spending time at the coast and occasionally enjoys a sea swim, when the weather permits..!

Grace has built a solid foundation in the financial services industry through a range of roles that have equipped her with knowledge and practical experience. She is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, holding the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, and is actively working towards achieving Chartered status.
Grace’s qualifications span key areas of financial planning, including investment, protection, retirement and inheritance tax planning. Her holistic approach is to deliver tailored, client-focused advice that supports current and future financial needs.
Outside of work, Grace enjoys trying out new recipes in the kitchen to host friends and family, in addition to volunteering for local charities.
